Hi Ian,
I would love to take the course but fear that it may be aimed aty the Navy etc who have no limits on money.
I would like to have a more focussed course on the minimums for small submersibles rather than being lumped in with complex electrical, navsystems, firefighting designs which the larger subs have.
As you are in contact with the appropriate body could you ask if it is appropriate to mix navy/ABS courses with small submersible designer/operators? Thanks for the perseverance. Hugh

Still $1000 per person from what I understand - the issue here is that
I might need security clearance. If possible, I intended to take the
course, I will report back on the course material and quality,
maybe also consider teaching it at a psubs convention.
Having ABS teach the course at a psubs convention would be great, I
some how don't think they would drop the price to $100-$200 range,
but maybe they could cut down the course size (say one day instead
of two) and adjust the price proportionately.
I think there is scope of getting the course held in a difference city,
but not sure if this will impact the cost.
Since we have a few sub professionals, I wondering has anybody on
the list taken this course, or knows somebody who has?
Thanks!
Ian.
