Re: [PSUBS-MAILIST] casting acrylic origins



I visited Bruce at his studio sometime after he had cast hemispheres
for submersibles. I saw some of the parts that did not make it, one
hemisphere cured at the bottom and top, but the middle 10" did not
polymerize and the liquid drained away when taken out of the mold. As
I recall he mixed batches in 5 gal. plastic buckets, but no mention of
curing cycles, temps, etc. His autoclave must have been 60" in
diameter.
I've looked for resin with no luck also.
