Vance, if the timing works out for a ride from PBI, that would
be great. I would owe you dinner at a minimum. If it doesn't fit
your schedule, I still appreciate your willingness. Steve McQueen and I
are trying to coordinate our arrival times. At the moment I expect to land
at 3:30 p.m.
I would tell you about alligators from my days in Kansas, but
if I did, you'd never believe anything I say again.

I can look into limo services if you like. I could also make the run to
PBIA if everyone is getting in at some similar time. Probably stuff four guys
into the Explorer and if need be, could bring a second car and driver for
more. Then some of the group would only need a local car. In fact, there would
be no problem for Jon or someone to use one of my cars (the Explorer, I
suppose, would make the most sense). I can arrange other transport for myself
during the conference without problem and that would save some bucks for a few
who might be on a tight budget.

Vance, thanks for the info. It's handy to have someone
who's familiar with the local area.
I'm finding car rental rates about double what I'm used
to. Do you know of any good alternatives for transportation to and from
the airport? I checked with the hotel and they aren't aware of any
ground shuttle services?
I'm about to be unavailable for several hours, but will
check back.
Thanks again,
Jim

Mapquest is pretty close and you DO have to get all the way to the
beach on the Ft. Pierce end. If the rental charges don't eat up the $100,
I'd take advantage of it. If it comes out even, PBIA is best as it has
direct access from the parking lot to I-95 north, which you will be taking
to St. Lucie County. It isn't bad either way.
Truthfully, you'll get a little more of that Africa veldt view
coming south from Orlando and not so much coming north from PBIA. I'm used
to it, but if you don't get down here much, then the scenic route might
tickle your fancy. Most everyone likes to peer around and say, "Wow, it's so
flat!!!!" And it isn't Kansas, for sure. I mean, they don't have too many
Alligator Crossing signs in Kansas, do they?

Questions
Thanks, Vance. I had PB as 1 hour 10 minutes per Mapquest and ORL
as 1 hr 55 min, but the airfare is about $100 cheaper into Orlando.
Still researching it.

Questions
Steve, I had planned to fly into Orlando and rent a car. I had
hoped to find several people to share the rental car. I'd be
interested in sharing a room to cut costs.
I'll check Palm Beach again to see if that would work as well.
Previous checks had shown much cheaper fares into Orlando.

Happy Father’s
Day!
I am looking at getting my
airline tickets taken care of for the convention. It looks to me
that the Palm Beach airport might be the most convenient. I was
curious to hear from others flying in as to which airport they
chose? I was also curious to see if someone wants to share a room
to save money.
Thanks,
Steve
