Re: [PSUBS-MAILIST] minimum conditions for survival in a distressed sub

Ian,

I can't locate an online copy of STANAG 1301 either, but those are nice finds that you pointed us to below. I think you are correct that Jay has talked about SUBSAR in the past. The first document you pointed us to seems to be highly geared to large military subs. I'm wondering if the second one is something we should add to the web site since it seems to have some good information applicable to all subs.

I had a quick search for that document to see if it's available
online and came across these two.

Volume 09 Submarine System Requirements Part 07
Submarine Abandonment, Escape and Rescue (Australian DoD): http://www.navy.gov.au/w/images/Vol_09_Pt_07_Sec_02_Issue_01.pdf

ATP-57(B) THE SUBMARINE SEARCH AND RESCUE MANUAL:
http://www.nato.int/docu/stanag/atp-57(b)/atp-57(b).pdf

I've not had chance to read them in depth, the first looks
pretty interesting, the second I've seen included in other
documents (I think Jay also circulated excerpts from a
similar document a while back).

Cheers!
Ian.
