Re: [PSUBS-MAILIST] acrylic dome Hydrosight

Nice looking dome and not a bad price for a certified product. ( roughly $6,000 ? )
It would definitely save a lot of time for a guy starting a new sub project. It's pretty cool that we are starting to see quite a few "off-the-shelf" parts for submarines. I'm still thinking about the Minnkota "upgrade kit" where a guy could make a new end piece with a magnetic coupler that would replace the existing end cap on the 101's so no pressure compensation would be needed. Didn't Carsten and Peter say they had a few parts that could be ordered ? His work is definitely first rate quality.
The whole idea of personal submarines is in a very exciting stage right now and I expect to see many more products become available in the next few years. Let's face it, the average guy will never build a space ship, but a submarine to access the huge part of our world that's never been seen is becoming a reality. It's a good time to be alive !
