RE: [PSUBS-MAILIST] Re: DIY Lights

PS:  High-powered LED lights are still a developing product with regular improvements in power, efficiency, and thermal management.  So if you do not need lights today and can wait, I would expect great improvements over the short-term.  Those of you that have an immediate need, I would jump on LEDs over HID as a solution that is more rugged, have a longer life-span, consume less power, and a soft failure mode (you don’t generally use all of your light at once as individual LED elements fail, not all of them at once).  An LED solution might (and I am not sure) might be slightly higher in cost as compared to LED but their life-time costs are definitely much lower.

Thanks Dan. I have the O2 Hacker and it's certainly a must-read. D'you know if the dive light one covers LEDs?
