Re: [PSUBS-MAILIST] Hydrophones
Jay,
I have a Seatronics 6000 paper tape sounder (made in Japan!) that I
tried the transducer on. I covered the stave with two layers of wet
suit neoprene, leaving a 3/4" window. It was attached to a fin with a
row of mounting holes for the suspension wire to adjust for horizontal
streaming. I was working from a friend's 26' I/O boat with a tall
transom, not the best for handling gear. We did get a trace from the
marina floats but nothing deep. No follow-ups, I did not have my own
boat at the time. This was in the late 70s as I recall.
