Re: [PSUBS-MAILIST] Hydrophones

Jim

** I have moved the BQR-2 staves next to my electronics workbench.

Thanks for shearing these interesting pictures with us, which made me
rather curious about something, ref

ftp://ftp.artematrix.org/sonar/images/BQR-2_b_detail.jpg

Could you please explain what we see in the "A" and "B" area of the photo.
Is the black 'ring' at "A" a spacer, a nut, or what? Is it steel or rubber?
Is the protruding thing under "B" a bolt, a nut, or what?

It would be interesting to know if these elements are part of the
hydrophone's (internal) clamp bolt, or just part of the sealing assembly.

If possible, it would be nice to have seen a proper close-up of the said
area.

And finally, have you been thinking more on how you would pursue the
testing of these hydrophones?

Best regards,
Jens Laland
