Of course it will work, Rick. But it isn't necessary. It's a huge amount of effort for minimal return. Red plastic battery boxes will do everything you want, and if you stick AGMs in them, then you won't have even that much problem.

My thought was to try and sandblast the inside lower half of the pod for good adhesion then lay up resin with matt in it as the resin by itself would crack. I would then back that up by having my batteries in ss drip trays. I think I have both at my shop and will do a test on each and report the results when finished.
