Aquarius has the same dimension in its cylindrical segement, with hemispherical end caps, making her nine feet long overall. I'd have to see what you were planning when you say adding (shape, orientation, etc.) as I'm not familiar with the overall design. For lying down, I find even the six foot length of a K-boat to be pretty restrictive, but with the wider diameter for only one person, it might be okay.

Subject: [PSUBS-MAILIST] 48" x 5" cylinder
Hey Vance,
I'm planning on adding a 48" diameter X 5 ft long cylinder
onto my 30" diameter 7 ft long "cockpit". My plan is to be able to have a
second person fit into the 48" by 5ft cylinder. My only concern is that the
5ft dimension would require that person to bent their legs when they are in
a prone position and looking out a bottom viewport. I believe that Aquarius
had a 48" diameter but a longer horizontal space. Any thoughts on the
comfort of a 48" X 5' space?
Also tomorrow is plastering day for me for the top part of my ferro hull !
Brian
