Alex,Interesting observation. Unfortunately, email standards have really gone downhill lately since most MUA's and MTA's allow lots of header manipulation without the email being rejected. It looks like Franks MUA is not supplying the In-Reply-To header which may be the way it was configured, or could also be something that AOL is messing with. I looked at email from another person I know who uses AOL and sometimes the In-Reply-To is there, and sometimes it isn't.

When someone relpies to an email, instead of sorting it by date and putting it at the bottom, it puts it directly under the email that is was in relpy to, and indents it one space to the right. So if there is a conversation with 5 relpies it looks like this:
