A possible scenario.......
Driving along near the bottom with a set of metal detectors, get a good
"hit" on a spot, so you drop a pinger tied to a sinker and small float say 3
feet off the bottom.
Continue making your sweep across the seabed dropping pingers where the
hits are.
Once the area has been checked, return to each pinger location and do a
more complete search.
Galleon treasure ? Well, maybe !
