RE: [PSUBS-MAILIST] Git Kraken

Have to take into account the mass-distance reach of a crane when lifting a sub over the side.

Frank,

Glad to hear that you are making progress!  For next year’s Conference planning, what do you figure your sub will weigh in at plus what will be your overall length and breadth including appendages?

Hi Vance. I'm working hard to get ready. Currently welding the stainless ballast tanks together. The FRP is 95% done.

Motor mounts, dive planes, rudders, etc. all done except for the electric actuators. Hatch is done. Windows ready for plexi.

Next is putting in the floor and window ribs, then the battery racks. These racks will hold the stainless battery boxes, air tanks, electrical panel, air manifold, etc. I want to be able to remove all that stuff so I can clean and/or re-paint as needed on a basically bare hull.

I have most of the plumbing parts and am getting ready to drill in the thru-hulls.

I hope to dunk test early next year and drive test by spring. I haven't found anyone to make windows yet.
