Oh, I almost forgot. There's a webcam at Boston Harbor you can use to look at the ship while it sits at dock. The website is http://www.seatowboston.com/harborcam.html and if you pan left to about one-third distance of the slider you can find the ship. Just look for the only ship with a HUGE a-frame lift on it. Of course it's evening right now and all you can see is two very bright lights burning (and the outline of the crane).
They may be leaving as early as tomorrow so catch a glimpse while you can. Jon Jay K. Jeffries wrote:
Jon,There vessel looks great and has lots of deck space. Supposedly they have just located a WW II wreck that is reported to contain 71 tons of platinum...some serious treasure! The bleak, damp, overcast weather brings back memories of Boston in the winter and reminds me why I live in the Bahamas. It was chilly here today, may have dropped below 68° today. JR/JayResepectfully, Jay K. This is one big ship and these folks have one heck of a serious operation in place. I was able to meet Greg Brooks the general manager, Gary Esper (captain), and some of the other crew members. Brian gave me a great tour of the entire vessel from top to bottom (including their ROV) and it was well worth the drive from NH in the first Nor'easter of the season. Very nice setup!I have uploaded some photos to the website. Go to main menu -> PSUBS Community -> Photos and Projects -> Jon Wallace -> Sea Hunter or just click on this direct link at http://www.psubs.org/projects/1234567801/seahunter/Thanks for the tour Brian!Jon
