Re: [PSUBS-MAILIST] Snorkling

Brian:
You're probably thinking of  Long Beach, on the west coast of Vancouver Island - 22 1/2 miles of white sand & great surf - between the fishing villages/towns of Tofino in the north and Uclulet in the south - check it out on google -earth - a long held secret of the surfing fanatics!
I can loan you a dry suit and snorkeling gear is you want to dink around with the subs but don't want to pack the gear - have to stay a short distance away from them, tho' - the thruster are hard on fingers!

Frank,
My dive suit would probably take up my whole carry-on so maybe just stay dry this trip.  I heard from a friend that there is an incredible surf break up there, a long point like Rincon only longer, anybody have any info on that?  Around Vanouver somewhere.   Frank, I thought of another purpose for our subs,  park them in about 10' of water in a shallow beach break area and create your own wave !

Hi Brian. If it's photos you're after, you may be able to use a raft or dinghy and still get some good shots. That way you could stay dry more or less. An internet search for a rental boat, canoe, or something might give you some ideas.
