Re: [PSUBS-MAILIST] Vancouver Convention
Hello Everyone,
I have opened up name submission for dive slots, which will be drawn
Thursday night (Oct 1) at the hotel. You must pay in advance to have
your name included in the drawing. We have 10 slots available for Deep
Worker 2000, and 20 slots available for Aquarius. Dive slots have been
priced to meet expenses for the event. There is a chance that the cost
could be reduced, and if that occurs we will reset prices accordingly.
Deep Worker Dive Slot - $60
Aquarius Dive Slot - $45
As usual, if you choose to pay online via paypal the cost will be a bit
more ($63 and $48) to cover the paypal fee that they charge us.
I will include a link to pay via check or money order tomorrow, however,
be advised that I must have your payment in my hands NO LATER than Sept
25. Do not wait for an online form to print and mail to me. Simply
send your payment NOW with a short note explaining what it is for to
PSUBS LLC, PO Box 53, Weare, NH 03281. Send me an email as well to let
me know that it is on the way. If I don't have your check in hand by
Sept 25, you will have to pay me again at the hotel before your name
goes into the drawing. I will then mail your check back to you upon my
return back home.
HOW DO YOU GET A SLOT??
1) Sign up by purchasing the right to have your name in the drawing.
http://www.psubs.org/convention/2009
2) Your payment must be made in full before your name is entered in the
drawing.
3) PSUBS Members have first priority to fill slots.
4) The first round of drawings for each submarine will contain member
names only.
5) If any slots remain, the second round of drawings for each submarine
will contain non-member names only.
6) Each person is eligible for only one slot in each submarine until
everyone who has paid for a slot has been assigned one. Only then will
we proceed with additional drawings for a second slot by the same person.
7) If you are bringing a friend, relative, or spouse; be aware that
because names are picked completely at random through a drawing we
cannot guarantee that you will be able to dive together. In all cases,
this should be considered an individual event.
8) We are attempting to get more information in regards to whether
non-diving "observers" can join us on the dive. If so, we will be
asking observers to pay a small fee and contribute to the payment of
expenses.
