Hi Alan. An ambient sub is still a good idea owing to the fact it's
relatively inexpensive to build and operate, very portable because it weighs a
lot less than a 1 ATM sub, and there's a lot of interest in them. The air system
needn't be very complicated, and a fiberglass hull makes them portable and rust
free.
As an old time scuba diver, I can tell you there's not much more to see at
120 feet than what's available at 50 feet. Frank D.
