It was just a zipped Word file to reduce the size of the attachment. Tell you what, to prevent you all having to jump through hoops I'll just paste the content straight into this email.
 
 
 

Pre-Launch Checklist

1.      Thrusters clear of obstructions

2.    SLOWLY open external O2 tank valve

3.    Check O2 pressure > 1,000 psi

4.    O2 hull stop closed

5.    Seacock closed

6.    Snorkel valve closed

7.    Both MBT flood valves closed

8.    VBT flood valve closed

9.    Portable items aboard:          Walkie talkie

Flashlight

Alkaline rag in a jar

Steinke Hood

CO2 absorbent

Fire extinguisher

Dive mask

 

 

Pre-Dive Checklist

1.      SCUBA tank valves open, pressure > 500 psi

2.    Test BIBS, close BIBS valve

3.    Instrument hull-stop open

4.    Main electrical power on

5.    O2 monitor on

6.    Set barometer reference indicator

7.    Agree with surface support on dive duration, start dive timer

 

 

Surface Support

§       Support diver READY at all times sub is submerged

§       Dive flag in the water at all times sub is submerged

§       Surface vessels that come within 150 feet of dive flag should be warned off with air horn

§       Any time the SOS buoy appears on the surface the support diver must immediately follow the line down 

Responses to Emergencies

Emergency

Response

Fire or smoke

1.      Hold breath, open BIBS valve, breathe from regulator

2.    Put on dive mask

3.    Disconnect battery breaker

4.    Close O2 hull stop if open

5.    Blow main ballast

6.    Use fire extinguisher if appropriate

Entanglement

1.      Attempt to free my maneuvering

2.    Release SOS buoy and await diver (in less than 150? depth)

3.    Attempt to free by blowing ballast / dropping weight

Battery explosion

1.      Hold breath, open BIBS valve, breathe from regulator

2.    Use alkaline rag on burning skin/eyes

3.    Blow main ballast

High/Low O2 alarm

Adjust O2 flow regulator. Aim for 21% O2.

Major air leak

Surface SLOWLY to allow hull overpressure valve time to vent

Major water leak

Surface FAST before sub becomes too heavy

 

 

Abandon Ship

1.      Release SOS buoy

2.    Remove hatch dogs

3.    Disconnect battery breaker

4.    Unpack Steinke hood, put on nose clip

5.    Don Steinke Hood (stretch the hood neck opening with your hands first)

6.    Inflate Steinke Hood

7.    Open flood valve

8.    Exit sub AS SOON as the hatch can be opened

9.    Exhale continuously on ascent
