Re: [PSUBS-MAILIST] CAD question

Hi Scott,
I've posted this referance before, http://www.deepsea.com/tools.html
It's a free program that analyzes tubes, cones, spheres & hemispheres under external pressure.
It gives crush depth, weight in water & dry weight from wich you can deduct the displacement.
It doesn't tell you where to place supports, however if you play around with tube lengths you can
see where they are needed. You can then go on to the psubs sight & use their calculator.
Jon has some reservations as to the accuracy of the programme as he said it was originally
designed for small items like light housings. However their is a comprehensive glossary of referances
to the source of formulas used for each shape.
Alan.

Does anyone know what CAD software works best for designing subs? I wouls really like something that calculates weights, electrical scematics, and pressure tolerances if possible. Help?
Thanks,
Scott
