They have Nautile, good for 6000 meters, and maybe an ROV equally capable as back-up for the sub. Me? I hear that kind of thing in a French accent anyway. I can't help it. Verne, Cousteau, Galerne, Durand...I'm stuck with them. And I'm sure they'll manage, or call someone who can.

I wonder what ROV the French will use to look for the black boxes on the tragic accident of the Air France jet. It could be 22K feet deep there. Sounds like a very tough job. I wish them luck. Frank D.
