I'm not ready to go diving yet, but my take on the 20 pounds of absorbent
is that it's probably a big waste of money, but REALLY cheap insurance if we
needed it. I'm thinking the problem would be proper storage on board so it
doesn't absorb moisture or CO2 waiting for the time it needs to be
used. Now, extra room in our little boats may be at a premium, but would
anybody really leave their life preserver at the dock to leave more room for
another six pack of beer ? I think not.
On the "sensor versus color indicator" to judge how good the absorbent
material is.......again, that's a "no-brainer". The color indicator does just
that.....indicates the condition of the soda lime. The CO2 sensor measures what
you're breathing. The color indicator is a convenience, the CO2 meter is a
necessity. Frank D. A Good Credit Score is 700 or Above. See yours in just 2 easy steps! |
