Hi Jon. If a field trip is possible, I'd like to see more pictures and a little more info on it's instability problems.
It looks pretty short inside too. I bet you have to lay down to look out the windows, unless your head is up in the tower. I think just moving the ballast tanks up would make a difference in how stable it was. It would be interesting to know more about it like ......how thick, what motors, how many batteries, what kind of controls, how many and how thick the windows, what design depth, and a few hundred other questions I might have. Maybe I better give him a call.
The ad says "about 5000 pounds" so I'm guessing it's 1/2 inch steel. It's a shame to see a sub get that far along and not work out. I wonder who the "engineers" were and if they still have a job. ( OOPS! that wasn't very nice ! )
Anyway, still looks to me like it has potential. Frank D.
