[PSUBS-MAILIST] I just read WITH HONOUR IN BATTLE

Yesterday I picked up  WITH HONOUR IN BATTLE by  J.T. McDaniel at my local library
after they got it for me by InterLiIbrary Loan. They got it from the Vancouver (WA?) Public
Library.
Not an extremely well written book but first I read describing what might have happened if the
German WWII Uboat Type XXVI had become operational. It describes the effects of the Walther Turbine
as well as the snorkel and streamlined hull. It also describes the torpedo tube arrangements as well
as the fact that they weren't designed to carry reloads for their torpedoes although they could be pulled
out of the tunes for maintenance, kind of like the Type XXIII in that respect.

I haven't seen that many books where the protagonists are in the TYPE XXI and XXIII, this is first that
describes a XXVI.
