Some food for thought... I talked to Doug Jackson and was informed that any circuit cards in use aboard an ambient submarine would need to have the capacitors and other air filled electronic components "potted" in resin in order to prevent these items from being damaged from pressure. I had never given this much thought until He brought this up! I can still make a simple passive sonar for ambient submarines, I just need to protect these small components from pressure damage.
