Hello Nomdae. I couldn't get the rebreather link to work. I tried a couple
of different ways but no success.
Anyway, it sounds good. That was kind of my thoughts too.
A canister for CO2 scrubbing, a desicant filter or maybe a moisture trap,
and maybe a chemical canister thing that would get hot. Not hot enough to start
a fire, and solid enough to be used over and over again. The dryer wouldn't
remove all the moisture. That would require cooling the air way down to "wring
out" the moisture, and then re-heating the air to increase it's volume so the
"relative moisture " level would be lower. I've built systems like that for
computer clean rooms, and it requires a lot of energy and equipment. Neither of
which is good for a small sub on battery power.
It might be easier to capture the moisture at the source, when we breathe
out. It would require wearing a mask though. Doesn't sound too
comfortable.
The plan ( like yours ) is to take the sub out and see if it's hot or cold,
then deal with that as needed. Maybe won't even be a problem. It's pretty low
tech to just dress warm, and carry a thermos of hot drink. ( Bailey's and coffee
? )
