RE: [PSUBS-MAILIST] sonar research

Jon,

Should Lynn and Tom desire the newly redesigned hydrophone selector unit (HSU) for testing in this area, I would be glad to surrender this unit to them. This item being removed from me would free me up to continue my work on underwater communications consoles.
At present, this unit is completed so as to attach six hydrophones covering 120 degrees of coverage and could be further modified to take up to an additional twelve more for a complete 360 degrees of coverage. (just by adding some simple wiring)
I would resume testing in this area, but this could take some time to accomplish and would distract me slightly from other areas of study.
This I offer free of charge by simply providing me a suitable mailing address. This would be sent upon my return to Tn. at the end of this month. Pictures of this unit can be viewed under the passive sonar special projects pages of the club web site.
