Greetings Thierry, Just because it doesn't look pretty currently, doesn't mean it's not fixable of course. Checking the thickness of the hull would be critical. My sub was pretty ugly inside when I found it, but it looks like most the rusty areas were just lite surface rust. I started by removing the viewport lenses and using a large wet/dry shop vac to vacuum it out several times after rinsing the interior with water, and scraping off the loose paint. Then I could better see what I had. I didn't own it at that time, and was just trying to keep it from deteriorating further, until someone could start to work on it. So I drilled a 1/4" hole between each rib section at the bottom so the interior could stay drained, since people kept leaving the hatch open, and the dome was not locked and sealed in. That just now reminds me of how hard it was to drill those holes in the main hull tube. Perhaps the hull tube is A516 after all. ;} Your first video showing some water standing up against the forward viewport reminded me of this picture I took of my sub when I first saw it. So there is hope. Also, we have just added few videos of our submersible on YouTube. We invite you to see them, then you can figure how big will be the job to make that sub functionnal again! Encouragements are welcome! Actually, we did not start working on it yet because of the winter time here. In fact, we are planning to tow it in Montreal by the middle of May, wich is going to be really funny because the trailer is not legal anymore after 15 year of "scrapyarding."
