Hey Guys, Ya I would expect you would need a good amount of paint to make sure is coated the inside on the inner steel tube section. I've always worried about these type of areas made out of steel. It seems like there could be a way one could also design a bolt on interior steel tube section in at least two parts, top and bottom respectively. Then have a soft large O-ring of gasket in a groove that is machined into the ring flange that is welded to the flat rings that you have already welded to the hull. I've thought about this type of set up for saddle ballast tanks and the like. The side windows that area a section of a tube that are installed on the hypersub are sealed in some manner.
