Hi Emile and Carsten, Is it to late to compliment you on your latest sub project Kreideseesub? I enjoyed watching the Youtube clip of Emile moving the bow half sphere into position. I'm thinking I want one of your over pressure valves in the bottom of my sub to let out extra internal pressure as well as easily drain all the water out of my K-250 after fully flooding it for wet exit training at depth. All I would have to do is lock the hatch and let some air out of the SCUBA tank(s) at a rate that doesn't over take the valve. Then when one is ready to surface, just remove the water from the VBT so you go slowly to the surface. This way the air that is in the cabin at pressure can come out of the over pressure valve at a reasonable rate. It sounds to simple. Perhaps I'm missing some thing. The hull is constructed right at this moment!. I build and a professional welder does the welding. Great team!! I started last week and with a few days the heavy steel work is done. The picture site will be updated soon.
We have to preheat thick steel here cos it is les than 5 C. inside..
Front viewport is 580 mm O.D @ 135 Deg.

Emile,
Hi,
The plan of my earlier mentioned project “Drebbel” chanced a little. The owner of the divebase at lake Hemmoor wanted to have a sub. Specs are pretty close to my earlier plans so Carsten and I made a agreement with him. We design and produce parts and the sub will be sold as a building kit. http://ww w.airesearch.nl/index_bestanden/Page424.htm click on “kreidesseesub” I hope to inspire people with the picture log! We hope to launch in summer 2009.
Best regards, Emile van Essen
