" When we remember we are all mad, the mysteries disappear and life stands explained." ~ Mark Twain Szybowski Out To: personal_submersibles@psubs.org Subject: Re: [PSUBS-MAILIST] ACRYLIC DOME SIZE Date: Sun, 11 Jan 2009 16:32:37 -0500 From: vbra676539@aol.com Bow mounted arc segment ports give a general impression of going uphill all the time, but you get used to it and compensate. If your eyes are more or less at the radius center point to the dome, then you look through the arc of plexiglas at 90 degrees-ish, and there is virtually zero distortion. Looking sideways across the dome where you are focusing at an angle THROUGH the curve is the most extreme distortion. But again, you get to where you don't think about it at all. In other words, weird becomes commonplace. Don't tell me this surprises you guys. We do weird for fun, don't we?
