Hi Phil. Thanks for the response. I've followed the evolution of your suits
for quite a while now and am constantly amazed at how flexible they are,
considering the pressure involved.
As a confirmed "dreamer" with a life long fascination with the ocean, I
believe your contributions to the knowledge base have inspired many-many young
people. This dividend will become apparent soon as these young explorers start
making it onto the scene.
As for a home builder making a newt-suit? Well, maybe some day. After
all, we all know the future is in our oceans, not outer space. That's where the
new discoveries will come from, from basic resources to bio-med, and much like
the space program of the 60's, I'm sure that this next generation of young
people will develop things we can hardly imagine right now. It's truly an
exciting time to be alive.
I'm looking forward to seeing you at our next convention, and watching your
continued success with this fascinating field.
One of my daughters is a high school teacher, and she shares my interest
with the oceans. I hope to provide her with additional teaching materials once
my little sub is up and running.
Another daughter has studied ocean biology at UC Santa Cruz, and done some
volunteer work at the local research stations near here. Although still young, I
hope to see her continue along this path and will probably bring her to the
convention as well. Thanks for your invaluable contributions to our kids. Best
of luck, and happy holidays. Frank D. |
