Hi Folks, I just finished talking with Howie Robbins of the Artificial Reef Society of British Columbia. (ARSBC). Howie will give a presentation on what they do about creating artificial reefs by sinking and monitoring ships. Of note, ARSBC is going to be sinking the HMCS Annapolis near the scheduled time of the convention. Even if the dates do not line up for the convention their wrecks are sunk in water shallow enough to be within scuba diver limits. So even if you are unable to bring your sub it is possible for you to scuba dive on them. So far ARSBC has completed eight projects. One is even a Boeing 737! If you want further information see their web site at: www.artificialreef.bc.ca Regards, Ray |
