Ya that sounds more like it. I figured they had to be at least four inches thick.  I also thought that perhaps there was a one inch protective acrylic sphere over the main pressure sphere, with a gap between it, but I've never seen that arrangement on these type of subs.

Brent, The pressure hulls on the JSLs are currently five and a quarter inches thick, if I'm not mistaken. Vance

They mention in the video that the acrylic in that Harbor Branch sub is only one inch thick. They must of been mistaken.  Interesting clip none the less.
