Hi Frank, If you can also remove the nylon type seals used for the large SS ball valve, perhaps they can be used in the final assembly as your seals. I have a small SS ball valve at the bottom of my sandblasting pot that is used to regulate the amount of sand coming out of the pot and into the air stream. It takes several years of use before the sand eats away at it enough to not seal anymore. Also I have to shut this valve with sand are around it all the time, and it still seals properly with those nylon type seals for a long time. Your arm ball will not likely ever have any were near that much sand on it, so I think it will work well with the nylon type seals. Perhaps you can use part of the SS valve body and machine it down to the design you want, then weld it to a small thru hull SS plate that can be attached to a SS ring that is welded into the hull. This way you can easily change the design in the future if you feel the need or use the thru hull for some thing else. to work. Just weld over the slot where the handle goes, bush down the hole, and
it's all set. Plus, the valve body/seals can be used with a little modification.
