Re: [PSUBS-MAILIST] Standard Weight

Hello Jim

I asked the mechanical engineers in my office your question and after a search through the standards kicked up the withdrawn BS 3601 as the standard our guys quote and the replacement BSEN 10216 and 10217  which I can't find any dimensions in, I got the suggestion that trying the ASHRAE site might be worth a try.

I'm sure somebody on the Forum will have the answer but I'll look in our library and see if we have a copy of the withdrawn standard in case they don't.

Cheers Simon

Hello Everyone

Does anyone know what thickness of material "Standard Weight" is in relation to pipe?

Im just ordering the pipe for my battery pods and it doesn't specify a thickness, just "Std Wt".  Some of the places i'm calling for quotes are asking for a thickness?

Also, the plans say A53 pipe, but some places are saying A106 is a more modern alternative.  Any thoughts?

Thanks
James
