Greetings Jon,
I very much appreciate you being one of the safety anchors in the group.
> One thing that this group needs to be reminded of from time to time,

an impediment to this group, then I strongly disagree with you." I'm not suggesting that open discussions of safety will impede this groups synergy. But safety concerns can be stated in a way that scares open discussion away. I've several times seen postings from new forum members and old ones, where they were sounding some what scared to post there ideas, for perhaps fear of being shown to be foolish in a over board manor. We just saw it with Simon Blackburn's post. I don't really care who is right or wrong. I just want to know what is the solution. I don't mind needing to stand corrected. Relaxing my ego has helped me relax and get to the facts I want to know.
Intimidation does occur in various ways from time to time, that can, and does kill open discussions. Perhaps some times they don't even notice they are doing it, and don't intend that to be the result of there posting. Just because something has been talked about a lot in the past, doesn't in any way mean there can't be any new ideas on the subject come out of an open discussion. With all the new members joining all the time, just think of all the new perspectives we have available to use to solve old puzzles. On top of that, there is so much new technology exploding around the world. Many an old wacky ideas can now be made functionally wacky.
