Right you are!  Salt water is going to rust away your steel frame and you will have no way of knowing about it until it implodes.  Ferrocement was a 70's idea when the price of steel was too high. It has long been discredited.

(I think I read that on the the Origami boat builders forum, but with steel at 61 cents a pound and rising you and
Wilfried may find yourself s back in fashion.)
