Thanks Kyle, I've been hoping to catch up with you. You and Alec have confirmed my suspicions about the rudder issue, so thanks guys. I think I'll keep my metal rudder and just cut a section out of it for a Minn Kota 101 and a clamping device. Kyle who built your K-250 and when? Are your MBT's made of steel? I've only seen three pictures of your sub and they don't show the underside of the MBT's. I'm guessing that they are not capped like Dan H's Persistence. If so have you had any trouble with spilling air out of them? I've heard of people having trouble with the prop wash of the tow boat filling the front MBT. I have a couple of ideas for capping mine, but was just trying to decide if I should just leave them as they are or not. Do you have any pictures of the interior of your sub? Congratulations on the K-250. I may be able to answer your rudder
question. My 250 has a larger rudder and will not track straight with only
one motor and a full rudder. I also was thinking of adding a third motor
to it. But I discovered last Fall that if your batteries become to
discharged to make it back to port you can kick the rudder back and forth like a
fish tail and make some headway instead of sitting dead in the water.
