Sounds like good ideas Ian. I like the idea of having options for future
add-ons/changes with out having to start all over. One meter hatches are quite
large, and will be useful for getting equipment in/out or providing enough
clearance for future changes without cutting out stuff. Besides windows, the
hatch would be the next thing to increase in size if I ever build another.
My hatch is 20 inch clear and it's a good thing I'm thin. Any smaller and
it wouldn't be safe if for instance I need to flood and bail out with a scuba
tank. I should have gone to 24 inch. The cost difference is minimal, and the
work is the same. A full meter will be very nice. I'm looking forward to
