Re: [PSUBS-MAILIST] Dome/hatch seat

Hi Frank,

I have the drawings, but can only fax them to you. If shelly can accept them at work or someone else, just get me the number & I'll take care of it.

Thanks for the comments. I have now finished the rough welding and grinding on the rudder/thruster rear pivot and posted it o the projects site.

Best Regards,

Jim K

Hi Jim. Nice to hear you're  working on the sub. I'd be interested in a set of springs if there was a way to make them work. You've seen my sub and hatch, and I took a slightly different approach with the hinge mechanism. Can you post a picture or sketch of the springs? What shape are they? How do they hook on?
I am planning on using a leaf spring from an old truck I have, but I'm keeping an open mind if a better idea ( or deal ) comes along.
The weather's been real nice lately, so I've been out riding. I get up, glue some foam on the sub, maybe carve it a little, then go ride. Making a little progress each day. Shelly and the kids went to Argentina this morning, and I stayed home to play with the sub. I heard back from Greg Cottrell, and will call him soon. Sure looks like he did a good job on your dome. Really nice! Keep up the great work. Frank D.
