Hi - we have some expirence with Side scan sonar in Sgt.Peppers. 
The problem is that the PM Motorcontroller of the Minn Kota maindrive 
hits some loud noise into the Power or/and transducer cable 
of the sonar -and we get a lot of snow into the display. 

Only at engine of or at full power the picture is clear. 
Unfortunatly Peppers is at full power much to fast to run it 
with eyes navigation only.
