Hi Scott. Anneal is basically a heat treatment after cutting, grinding,
polishing that relieves the stresses on the material. It also has a slight
shrinking effect on the plexi. It's a process where the finished disk/dome is
heated slowly to 325 degrees ( I think ) and held there, then cooled slowly (
many hours ) using a computer controlled oven. Not something an amateur can do
easily, but is essential to produce a strong disk. Frank
