I recall in the book 'I found Israel's Atom Bomb Factory' by Capt.
Kiddredge an incident where one of his clients successfully ascended in a K boat
after jettisoning drop weights. If I remember correctly he descended down
an ocean wall past the depth that his regulator pressure could overcome the psi
of the water column. He was unable to recover the lead.
