RE: [PSUBS-MAILIST] sub plans

Well it looks like we have another live aboard sub guy.  Kraka is for sale and a pretty boat at that, but there's nothing like building your own to keep you busy. It also sounds like you will need a larger sub then Kraka.  That will be a project that will keep you busy for a day or two. 
 
I'm working on a trimaran live aboard design for better surface stability as well as work/recreation space. The mermaids need a place to sub bathe ya know. ;)'  I expect to spend a lot of time on the surface more like a yacht, so I'm not going for a military shaped sub.  I think that a wave piercing design will work well for me.
 
I have been thinking about different options for enclosing a manipulator arm in a hydrodynamic enclosure while underway. I've also been thinking about modifying or making a Lenco type linier electric actuator for external use on a sub.
