RE: [PSUBS-MAILIST] Rotary Table for Drilling View Ports and the Like

Greetings Emile,

I see, I see!!  You've been busy. Those are some pretty pictures. I had not seen them before.  Was that acrylic dome vacuum formed?  How did you bond the acrylic flange to the dome? Was one of those domes for Stg. Peppers? One looks like it has a very different flange then the Stg. Peppers dome with a larger flange then the dome used on the Euronaut.

Brent,

Get yourself a milling machine !  I just aquired a nice Bridgeport last summer, the machining handbook gives you the formula for drilling holes around a circle, once you have tthe diameter and the number of holes you want it's real easy, some of the digital readouts have it in their program.

James,

It looks like you could of used a rotary table on your drill press like this one I'm planning on acquiring, to make the drilling of your viewports a lot easier.

I'm also considering aquiring this XY Cross table for my drill press, until I can upgrade to a large Mill/Drill.
