Hi Brent. Good to hear from you again. The rear motor mounts and fins are
all S.S. except for one piece. I couldn't find a piece of tube that size in
stainless. I've been buying the steel at a local recycle depot but nothing at 4
inch inside dia. was available. I am looking at plating the exposed/unpainted
parts in chrome or brass. I am also planning on putting on several sacrificial
anodes so will be looking for some pure zinc bar stock a little later.
I have almost finished the linkages back there, and today I was working on
the side motor linkage.
I've put the fiberglass work on hold for now until the
weather warms up. It doesn't work that well when it's cold, and moisture really
makes it difficult to get a good glass bond. I could work around those two
problems, but I've got lots of other things to do anyway.
When I get all four motor mounts installed, I'll put some new pictures
up.
