RE: [PSUBS-MAILIST] emergency communications

  Thank you for the explaination.
 
  Although I have now been able to produce a reliable Morse transmitter good to a respectable depth, I am still not convinced that this communications method will best suite me.
 
  I may install this as an alternative to short range voice, to be used in an emergency as a communications link that looks to be more user friendly than tapping the hull.
 
  I did come across a chart that makes transmitting a message in morse easier...but translating a recieved message back into something that makes sense and doing this fast is a whole new ball game!
