Oh.  I'm running into the same sort of problem actually.  I have this one area where the drop weight should go but I have a few other things I want to put there also.  Like a viewport and also a rudder control.

Brian you are probably correct with this. My main reason for not using a mechanical, is not
so much the o ring thing, it is more a design problem. I have 3-12" pods under my pressrure
hull. They are as close together as I could get them, for stability. The manual lever really would
be a pain and I do not think just the hydraulic ram is a real saftey issue. With 4 tons of pressure
I am pretty sure the weight will come off regardless of senario. If I am wrong here would sure
like to hear it. As of at this point just the porta power.
