Re: [PSUBS-MAILIST] drug boats



There is big money to be made.  Which is why they keep catching them.  About the only real drug submarine was the one that was being built in 2000.  However, it was captured before construction could be completed.  However it all goes back to WW1 with the SMS Deutschland.  What they have now is not a submarine.  If anything, it is a submersible.  They might as well be using the CSS Hunley.

I do not wish to dwell on this subject too long, but with so many failed attempts to run drugs aboard these "boats", I cant help but feel that a few do get by. Why else would these people continue to attempt this method so many times. I wonder if these vessels are simular one from another.

I also agree.  Just because it can dive, does not make it a submarine.
