That is just normal “angles & dangles” ops.  It is much worse during the long surface transits out to diveable depths (maybe not such acute angles but really gut wrenching)!

A skimmer afloat is but a submarine, so poorly built it will not plunge…

Maybe off topic but I like to share this:

 

I work occasional as freelancer for the Dutch flight simulator company Moog-FCS.

Sometimes they make submarine sims for the electric boat company.

Yesterday we had a party to celebrate the completion of a new type.

I was in for a few minutes. I guess you can get very sick it it being there a whole shift I feel very sorry for the US navy students ;-0
